TAFE Outreach programs are closely aligned to the Federal Social Inclusion Agenda ensuring NSW education is accessible to people who face barriers to learning including geographical and social isolation, language and cultural factors, financial hardship, lack of educational confidence, being unaware of opportunities to learn, a disability or family commitments.

Telopea Men's Shed

The ChainBreakers Men’s Shed is an initiative by TAFE Outreach (Meadowbank College) & ChainBreakers. Former offenders, referred by the Drug court or community groups have fitted out a demountable shed in their local community as a workshop & training facility where men can learn building skills in TAFE courses; make timber products for sale and receive support and ongoing rehabilitation while they work towards employment goals.
They can enrol in Certificate 1 Construction to gain a Handyman Licence; units from Certificate II in Skills for Work & Training and the WorkCover ‘White Card’.
